Many are the paths of good wine and food throughout the area.

For the wine sector, we remember some of the strengths that have made famous the hills close to the Bed and Breakfast La Casetta in Stazzano: the vineyards around Gavi produce the Cortese di Gavi, DOCG wine for its quality present in all the best wine shops. Also the renowned Dolcetto di Ovada DOC is a typical production, exclusive of a small number of neighboring municipalities. Moreover, even closer than Ovada, is Silvano d'Orba, famous for the production, since over a century, of artisanal grappa of excellent quality.

Being Stazzano near the border with Liguria, Emilia and Lombardy, the local cuisine is very diverse because it is based on the recipes of these regions, as well as those of Piedmont. How can you resist taste of homemade ravioli topped with the sauce of king bolets from Val Borbera or sprinkled with slices of white truffle from Sardigliano or even drowned in wines like Gavi or Dolcetto? How to resist the many sweet delicacies (one for all the exquisite baci di dama? How to resist a thousand types of chocolate produced by hand or industrially by many small and large companies in the area?

The gastronomic diversity is reflected in the number of restaurants, famous for the preparation of the local recipes, always respectful of the tradition of the area. And even the many culinary festivals that, especially in summer, enliven the evenings of tourists and gourmets, are a living testimony.
